Sweat!

J. and I got up early-ish this morning to go biking before it got really hot. It was only in the 70s, but it was muggy; however, a nice breeze kept us fairly cool for our 20+ minute bike ride.

When we got back, we did some pruning and brush clean-up in the back yard; I trimmed a couple of my spirea bushes and the cherry plum tree (pictured below).

Now, THAT was some sweaty work. I think my thighs are going to be talking to me tomorrow.

There are some folks out there who think that "exercise" involves things like lifting weights at the gym and running and jogging for many miles, and that doing house chores and yardwork don't really "count." Anyone one of those folks that thinks that way is welcome to come over and spend a half an hour pruning my remaining spirea bushes...

I used to sleep on my back, but since I started having allergy and sinus issues, I've started sleeping on my sides, almost exclusively. This is because if I sleep on my back, I snore, and wake myself up. Sometimes, I have issues with both my hips and/or my right shoulder, so I'd like back-sleeping to be more of an option (minus the snoring).

I've been wanting to check out pillows especially for back-sleeping, and I was assuming I'd want something in a U-shape, like this:

But what I ended up purchasing and trying out last night was this half-cylinder type one:

I changed positions several times last night, and realized a couple times that I was on my back and was NOT snoring for a change. I'm going to try it another night before I decide if it was worth the price. But, so far, so good...
