Lemon bars

When I was growing up, the little old Swedish ladies in the Upper Peninsula used to bring these lemon bars to all the potlucks. It wasn't something my Mom made frequently, though.
I ran across a really simple recipe in the paper and clipped it, and made some up last night. I overbaked them just a tad, so the sugar carmelized a little around the edges, but otherwise, they were just as I remembered them. So good, I had one for breakfast today.
Imagine a sugar-cookie crust with a thick lemon custard on top (only I grated some tangerine rind into the custard, so they were actually lemon-tangerine bars).
Normally, I'm of the opinion that it's not dessert if it's not chocolate, but this is an exception to that rule. Yum, yum, yum!
I may post the recipe later.
