sarahmichigansubmitted a story to a literary magazine. I'd had it on my to-do list for several months and finally got around to it today. It was a short story I wrote a couple years ago, but never did anything with.
I picked it up again a few months ago, and realized it was actually quite good. I work-shopped it at my monthly writer's group, and they had a few minor tweaking suggestions, but overall, they really liked it.
I FINALLY, after two months or so, made the suggested changes, and submitted it via the magazine's on-line submission process, which is super-easy. Even if they don't want it, I'm just proud of myself for submitting it. It's easier to do nothing than to risk rejection, and I didn't take the easy way out. Yay for me!
