I have been crowned Washtenaw County Education Headlines Examiner*, and my first piece is up:

University of Michigan is a hotbed for startups

I think my next piece will be something about keeping kids learning and engaged over summer break.

For this site, I'm committing to writing 4 education-related articles per week. I know other examiners don't always make their content 100 percent relevant to just their area, but I'd like to make 70 or 80 percent of my content relevant to my county. If anyone has tips on interesting classes, teachers, issues etc. related to education in my area, please pass them on! Also, if you just have information about general trends in education that I could localize with quotes from people in my area, that'd work too.

That'll teach me to line read more carefully before saving changes!)
