Generally, I think netflix's algorhythm for determining whether I'll like a movie or not is pretty accurate. I'm not sure why it thought I'd dislike the BBC mini-series "Byron"- at only 2.6 stars out of 5. It stars the big-eyed Johnny Lee Miller rambling about in tight breeches and gorgeous period jackets, playing a charming, petulant, manipulative Lord Byron who spends a little time writing poetry and a lot of time kissing pretty boys and pretty girls and girls dressed as boys. No, not something I would like at all. *rolling eyes*
I've never cared much for the poetry of the Romantics- with a few exceptions. However, I've always found their lives very interesting- as well as the women in their lives.
One very interesting woman was Ada Lovelace. The mother of computer programing was the daughter of the Romantic poet who was "mad, bad and dangerous to know."
