"Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman. LOVED it as a book on CD. It's always nice to hear Gaiman reading Gaiman, too.

and

"The Path of Least Resistance: learning to become the creative force in your own life" by Robert Fritz. I'm not sure I buy the philosophy 100 percent, but it did have several points that really resonated with me. He talks about reacting out of fear of what you don't want to happen vs. acting to create what you do want. He talks about how in order to create, you have to really know what you want to create AND you have to fearlessly and honestly assess the current reality to see the discrepancies between the two. There's more good stuff, but I may make a separate post about it.

That second book sounds like something I should read. I thought about reading "The Secret," but kind of doubted it could work. How long had I wished and wished my situation was different, feeling trapped? I guess now that I am on the road to improvement, I might be able to let go of the cynicism enough to give it a chance!
