Oct. 30th, 2009 09:09 am"Dry" - a funny memoir about getting sober by Augusten Burroughs. Reads very much like a novel; it was a great deal of fun but also made me cry.

"A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole. J. listened to this first as a book on CD and told me I'd love it, and I did. It's utterly ridiculous and I laughed all the way through it. I find myself wanting to talk like the main character. "Do I believe what is before my eyes?! That's not art- that's an abortion!
