I so want one. I know a couple other people who would be appropriate recipients.

How about These Biblical Action Figures from a company named "Train Up a Child" How's that for implying indoctrination?

Or the line of action figures from Jesus Christ SuperStore (Unfortunately, unlike the link above, this one isn't really real.)

I think you'd only give those to a child you didn't like very much. They're not super-awful, just really boring.

Yeah. They were only interesting from an "I didn't think they made those" POV.

The other figures.... were more amusing the first time I saw them... at 3:30 AM during an all-night coding session in school.

They could be a lot worse. Interesting that they come in "light skinned" and "dark skinned" versions.

That is interesting. However, they don't look particularly Hebrew (if they were going for authenticity) or African-American (if they were trying to make dolls that young Black kids could identify with). They just look like dark-skinned dolls with Caucasian features, so I'm not sure what they were going for with making those two choices available.

Sort of. Mostly, they're not terribly great artistically (and poor photographs), so it's kind of hard to tell what they were going for. I'm not saying that they have a fully-realized multicultural vision going on, just that they made more of an effort than a lot of companies I've seen, especially religious ones. As a whole, it still gives me the heebie jeebies.
