prose poem definition

We were talking at 13 Blackbirds, the twice-a-month poetry group that novapsyche runs, about the definition of a prose poem. It's a little confusing, and I've been googling and getting a bunch of different definitions that don't all match up. What do you think of this one?

Sounds about right.

I just thought a prose poem was a poem that looked like prose.

I liked the bit about the "allegiance" to poetic language even though the line breaks are more like prose.
