June 11 - 17
Total days active: 6 out of 7
Total days did full body stretch: 5 out of 7
Comments: I could have stretched a bit more, but overall, a good week. I'm still waking up stiff/sore at times, but I'm just feeling less cranky about it. On a related note, I looked back at my "self-care" journal and notice that I've been tracking activity and other self-care activities since September of 2007, almost two years! While I sometimes feel betrayed by my body when it's achy or doesn't have the energy I'd like, I feel like, generally, I'm trying my best to take care of myself. I set out to instill a regular flossing habit and went from an occasional once a week or so flosser to someone who flosses almost every day- maybe missing 2 days out of any given month. I've also taken charge of the health issues I do face, from researching hypothyroid to insisting on physical therapy for my shoulder and trying to come up with a good routine for my hip. I'm also working on lots of fresh LOCAL produce this summer and lots of being active outside in the sunshine for my mental health and vitamin D needs. There's a lot to be positive about, if I just look for it.
