sarahmichiganI mentioned a while back that we tore up carpet in our living room and put down wood laminate flooring. Before that, we'd stripped wallpaper out of the kitchen, patched and painted it a pale peach color (OK, J. did most of the work on the kitchen). I wanted some tile near the sink to liven it up and to protect the new paint from sink splashes. The paint was already looking bad there after a couple of weeks. We went to the Ann Arbor Reuse Center, and I got 4x4 tiles for 10 cents each, a total of 9 for the project.
I found a cute decorative tile, but none to match it, so I used contrasting tiles on either side. Once I touch up the molding above it, I think it's going to look great. Again, J. did most of the work after I picked out the tile, so much thanks to you, sweetie.
