sarahmichigan: (reading)
"History of the Philippines: From Indios Bravos to Filipinos" by Luis Francia. This book is relatively current (2010), informative and not boring. It's written for the avearge person in mind, and I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about the Phillipines and how its somewhat unstable government got into the predicament it's in.

and

"Feynman," a graphic biography of the Nobel-winning physicist Richard Feynman, written by Jim Ottaviani and illustrated by Leland Myrick. I loved the whimsical illustration style and the inclusion of elements of both Feynman's work and his personal life. Of interest to Michigan people: Ottaviani is from Ann Arbor and (I believe) works at the University of Michigan! Highly recommended.

My full comments on both books here.
