Health & Fitness update
Oct. 2nd, 2008 01:22 pm( Three weeks behind the cut... )
In general, I feel like I have a good habit established. I am averaging 6 days of activity a week, and it actually feels weird to take 2 rest days in a week, but I think I should do it if my body tells me I need it. I'm doing pretty well with the flossing. The last 4-5 days, I have SUCKED at doing a full stretch each day. I have been doing partial stretches, but haven't been doing spinal twists or adequate hamstring stretches, and my lower back tends to get twitchy when I don't keep this up.
Also, in general, I feel like I need to a) set some more short-term goals but b) simplify my tracking system. I think I had to prove to myself that I'm not a lazy fatty and that I'm trying hard to take care of myself, but I don't think I need to prove that to myself or anyone else anymore. In fact, I think in some instances it's lead to me ignoring my body telling me I need rest. So, pondering how to stay motivated and how to keep up good habits while also listening to my body about giving it adequate rest or taking it easy on the exercise routine on days when I'm achy or under-slept.
