Good Samaritan

I stopped at a hair salon to get several inches of my hair hacked off after work today. I came out and a man in a car stopped me to say he'd seen some young punk hit my car and then drive off. The Good Samaritan took down a description of the car and the plate number. I've called the insurance company, and the Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputy is filling out a report in his car out in front of my house as I type this.

I hope something bad happens to Mr. Hit-n-Run. Grr.

Update

The sheriff's deputy ran the plate, and the registration is no good. Reading between the lines of what he said, it sounds like the guy probably ran for a good reason-- he's driving around with an invalid plate, maybe a stolen one. Blech. I hope this doesn't make getting my claim processed a problem.

And, in completely unrelated news, we went out to eat at Temptations, the new Indian restaurant in Ypsi, and it was goooooooood. I had the cauliflower and potato dish and Jeff had the Lentil Dal. Both delicious, as was the spinach-cheese-bread we ordered to go with it. Cheeeeeese. Mmmmmmmm....
