Abortion is a blessing
Apr. 26th, 2004 09:23 amI mentioned the book "Abortion is a Blessing" in my last post. The book is out of print, but it's available on-line. A very interesting--and sad-- read. I'd like to think that these stories are firmly in the past, but with legislative attacks on reproductive choice over the last few years, access to abortions is becoming more and more difficult, not unlike Wisconsin in the early days when abortion was finally legal, but few doctors would offer them.
Below is an excerpt that speaks to two things I commonly hear in abortion debates:
1. I support your right to have one, but *I* could never have one, and
2. Why don't they just use birth control?
