Animal tales

Robin Redbreast

A week or so ago, when Spring hadn't quite made up its mind about sticking around in Michigan, I was out on a walk and saw a robin alight on a fence in front of me. I thought to myself, "Spring is really here!" And then it took a shit and flew away. Kind of like the spring weather.

The dog next door

The dog next door is a big, black, barky dog, not too bright. Every time our neighbors come out and tie him up outside, the first thing he does is take a piss on his own doghouse. I asked our neighbor a few days ago what the dog's name was. She said it was "Rock." As in, "dumb as a . . ."

*makes a face*

Yep... we're "supposed" to have snow this Friday.... after thunderstorms...? WTF? Welcome to Michigan, I guess. 70 degrees and balmy, followed by a blizzard.

If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes; it'll change. :-P

I laughed my ass off about this one. Yes, it's true: my ass is detachable. Unfortunately I'm missing the necessary rivets and bolts to reattach it...

I saw a robin today and had the same "It's Spring!" reaction. I don't quite trust the weather yet.

I think your canine neighbor is a good-looking Rott! (His intelligence isn't a topic I know much about, but, you know, he's a dog.)

He is cute, but do you think he's a Rott? His head doesn't seem big enough. The neighbor also said he's a sweetheart, despite the barking.

I do. He reminds me a lot of Lady, a female Rottweiler my dad had some years back.
