Dear Netflix

Dear Reed Hastings, Co-Founder and CEO, Netflix,

When I received your letter of Sept. 18, 2011, I had to double-check that I hadn't fallen through a time portal and it was really April 1.

"Qwikster"? Seriously? Are you shitting me?

Sincerely,

Your former customer

I know right. I was like way to lose a bunch more people. They probably retained a bunch at the price hike because they were too lazy or unconcerned to cancel one of the services (I actually know a few like that). But now that they are going to make you sign up at a new site? Definitely going to lose the lazy element there. And then pick up a new element o folks who don't want to be bothered or are annoyed that they have to go through this effort.

I'm mostly annoyed because I'm currently watching a few TV shows on DVD and don't really want to sign up or have to add things into a new queue. *sigh*

I'm hoping we'll get another email saying, "just kidding..." They really need to test pilot their changes I think. Good grief.

Thank you! First of all, stupidest. name. ever. Secondly, are we going to have to sign up and redo our queues and all that, cause if so then forget it. I am feeling very conflicted because part of me is so pissed off that I want to drop something but I really like having the streaming and there are so many shows (and a few movies) I want to see that are only on DVD (for now). I've said it before and I'll say it again - they really should have waited to pull this shit until there was a LOT more on streaming than there is now. I feel like the majority of what's on there now is a) really old movies b) the first season or two of some of the newer shows (like Glee, Hot in Cleveland, etc) and documentaries. Now I like documentaries, a lot, and there are some shows on there that have all the seasons, but I really wish it was more. I don't have cable TV, so this is pretty much all of my viewing entertainment. I am really angry that the 2 services will not be integrated. Now if I have something in my dvd queue that comes out on streaming, I get notified. Now I won't.
