Whine, whine

It's road construction season. There's construction at the exit I usually use to get home. There is worse construction on both of the two alternate routes I can take.

Took an extra 25 minutes JUST to get to the express way this morning, and I was late for a meeting. They started w/out me even though I'm half the team. Grrr.

Just out of curiousity, if you're half the team, how can there be a "they" to start without you? Wouldn't it be s/he who started without you? And is a conversation involving one person in a room actually a "meeting"? :)
