Why doesn't social contract satisfy?

If you punch people in the nose, you're welcoming them to punch you in the nose. If you don't want to get punched in the nose, don't do it to others. That still doesn't mean that you won't ever get punched in the nose, but at least it allows you to get self-righteous when it happens. :D
